My fleet. Of two cars...

Salcombe Flyer (made in Salcombe) 440 - meaning 14.5ft.
2 stroke Mercury 60 (so pickup is great, mpg isn't!) and been GPSd (by previous owner) at 40 knots - mostly because it weighs next to nothing!
Generally cheap to run, super reliable (the Yanks DO make some good engines after all!) and light enough to be hauled off a beach if it runs dry. On a pontoon mooring 100 yards from the house so easy to get to - we are in S Cornwall so have the River Fal and surrounds to play on.
One bad thing - the cover is cr4p so it needs bailing a lot when it's raining a lot (i.e. all Summer)!

Martin - the Jimny is purely a utility vehicle and is mostly wife's. It's not a car to lust after! But top down in the sunshine and the ability to go anywhere (I used to drive modded 110 Defenders as part of a Geotec job - this will go anywhere they go and more) just makes it a laugh. And nobody ever road rages me! The BMW gets mixed reactions from pleasant to extreme anger!
Jimny is handy for parking (takes up no room and doesn't matter if it gets scraped), Jap reliability and goes anywhere - nothing else does all that. However any trip over 50 miles in it kills you and it ain't quick. Landies all too big and too thirsty, everything else is cr4p off road.
The boat is simply a lot of fun!
