New toy arrived today. Was justified on the basis that "it will be really useful around the farm", but in reality it's mainly a man toy. One of the more powerful quads at 800cc and tops out around 65mph. Certainly feels much faster. I'm off to perfect my powersliding and hopefully not die.

As you can see, within minutes of its arrival, the cat decided that it was his new sun lounger:

Just been out for a test run. Hit a cowpat at high speed and got *very* unintentionally sideways - change of underpants required. Certainly a different beast compared to the 250cc Trailblazer I had as a kid.

I used to have a Honda 400EX, and a Yamaha Blaster before that a few years a go.
Great fun at the local beach over the dunes etc.

Got rid of it after having it come over the top of me breaking my wrist, Scary thing was it came down on my head as well so if i was not wearing a helmet i would of probably came off a lot worse. Although i dont think it was as painfull as the time i managed to whack my chin of the handle bars and bite through my lip and chip my front teeth, that was nasty.

Stuff like that was rare and they were pretty much the only incidents i had over the 3-4 years i had them.

Very satisfying once you get them over some large jumps.
