My younger brother has replaced his Fiesta (now mine) with a 6n2 Polo 1.4 - He's since done a few mods to it, that whilst not many on here would approve, he is most chuffed with!

Here it is when he first got it:

After fitting a GTI front grill (sans badge), debadging the rear and lowering the car on coilovers (and having been treated to a full afternoon of cleaning/polishing etc by me):

And finally having fitted some 15" ATS Cup alloys:

Worryingly, I quite like. It's caused much beard stroking on my behalf. I think it's my inner chav trying to escape!

Nothing chavvy about that, over the top styling I think tends to be more on the chavvy scale.

Looks OK to me, but I prefer the standard wheels.

Yea I'm still not 100% on the new wheels. He's keeping the old ones and is going to strip them down and paint them in a darker colour for the winter

I guess it's not 'chavvy' per se, but it's the form over function argument that's confusing me!

Nice, that's exactly the same as my first car, colour, engine spec. Absolutely loved it, bit differet to the fiestas, clios etc. looks good riding that low, the wheels are an aquired taste but not chavvy compared to most!

im not a fan of the usual chav mobiles i get round here, but that has been subtly done and doesn't shout " I've Been To Halfords" like most do

only thing im unsure about is the wheels

but one mans chalk is another mans cheese, so if your brother is happy then thats all that matters

Not really a fan of the new wheels - the old ones painted dark grey would look good.

I like it but the ATS rims are more suited to older cars like a MK1 Golf.

i think just that standard rims looks good, without painting them dark grey

It doesnt look bad at all, just very un-original/safe.

Atleast he's not got any German style plates for it!

Looks very nice indeed. Certainly not chav at all. I prefer the shiny wheels, over the darkened ones!
