to convert the front end you need the following:

A Blobeye slam panel (complete front end including headlight mountings)
Blobeye headlight
Blobeye Bumper
Blobeye Wings
Blobeye Bonnet
Blobeye Loom for the headlights
Blobeye Grill

The fitment of the panels is simple, its just the slam panel that is the hardest bit tbh bt my mate is a dab hand with a welder smile

My mate also works for a bodyshop so they gave me a good price to fit all the panels and spray them so i took thew offer and go the car back like this.

I then took the wheels to get sprayed black as i thought they matched the car and my plans better

The next phase is black roof and spoiler then more power smile and possible blobeye rear end conversion.

Very nice car there and looks like a tidy job, would only be spotted by an eagle eyed enthusiast as well I'd imagine.

Seeing as you seem to know your stuff about Impreza facelifts, is it possible to convert a classic impreza front end to a facelift version without too much work? I.E from this:

to this:

(I'm aware the latter is a P1 but I'm sure you catch my drift.)

from what i read from when i was doing my research I could have changed mine to a hawkeye if i wanted. The main issue is the slam panel and headlight mountings, i would assume if you had these and all the parts from the version you want to convert too then you can do.

I only know my newages as i have spent hours researching to find out what i needed and how to do it.
Im sure mate with a £1k and a good body shop mechanic you can do smile

Can I just be the first to ask?

Why not just a blobeye in the first place?

With regards to this conversion, would this not be slightly more simple than the one you've done? It looks as though the front indicators are the same shape, so i wouldn't imagine the wings would need replacing. Looks like it would just be bonnet, front bumper and grill + 98 onwards front headlights?

Feel free to correct me anyone, i don't know my imprezas as well as i'd like to, but this is what it appears to be?

I love the colour. If I could find a nice 2005 Sti PPP in a similar hue, rather than the raft of blue, black and silver that seem to be the norm, then I could be tempted to part with some cash.

Yours is the second Scoob I have seen on those Compomotive alloys as well, they really suit the car.

This has got to be substantially cheaper than purchasing a blob eye and getting it resprayed if he really wanted it in this colour.

The reason I didnt buy a blobeye is because you can't get a blobeye in this colour as standard. Also I have just spent a fortune on a new engine including new STI8 bottom end, new uprated clutch, new flywheel, new VF34 turbo, new injectors, New interior so to get a blobeye at the same spec would cost more than its worth.

Also I know the history of the car now as the engine is like new and i have replaced loads of parts so I know its not going to break. There are alot of dog subaru's out there and alot of hidden history so better keep with mine smile.

I always thought they looked a bit girlie in that colour, but with the conversion done and sitting on those wheels I have to confess I think it now looks pretty damn good!
