Picked up my 'new' car on monday, finally got it cleaned today and a couple of ok pictures, thought I'd stick them up!

Had a civic type R before which was a great car, but this is just so much more fun, even if the roof does leak at the corners in the rain! hehe
Needs a couple little bits and pieces doing, and a new badge, but absolutely delighted with it. Have been really suprised with how comfortable it is as well. Being honest, other than being noisier it's no worse than the civic was either in town or on the motorway.
It's older than my last car, has less power, and is just the best thing I have driven yet biggrin

I went from a Final Edition Civic Type-R to a 111R and it's the best thing I've ever done. Looks like a winner, buddy. You'll love it!

Only thing I've done to it was swap out the air box for a pipercross viper kit today, but looking at the state of the old filter and ducting it's probably not that bad an idea.
I'm planning on leaving it pretty standard anyway so don't worry! wink
I'm learning that the roof leaks at the front corners too, will probably need to get a new hood at some point anyway but the rain doesn't come in as long as you're moving fast enough!
No regrets at all!

Everyone gets up in arms about new threads, so thought I'd add to my old one! hehe
Had a blast in the car at the weekend while my brother tried to get some good photos. It was all pretty slow really, but some of the photos came out well. Being my first RWD drive car, and the first drive of it in the snow I have never had so much fun with a car in my life! biggrin

How I envy you,
Really do love the S1 Elise is probably my favourite as not too keen on the newer shape. Can't agree more about driving expirences no matters what with these cars ok theres the odd puddle of water or problem but driving just somehow makes it all worth while and you find a big smile across your face.

Have fun and all the best with your new toy.

Lovely motor, but it looks so much nicer in the action shots than the static ones!

Haha, he was picking me up, but couldn't get up the street to our house!

Nice (and random) to see another grandholmer!

Cheers guys. As above, I had to drive around until Rod met me, couldn't get up the street and not really anywhere to park without getting stuck or blocking the place.
Not one to give up with the weather but I'll admit it's been a bit of a struggle tonight! (a bit stuck both arriving at and leaving my grandparents!)
Just the ground clearance on sidestreets with thick snow though. The main roads are clearing up and I will struggle on. It's no worse than the rest of the traffic on the go anyway and I'm liking it on the snow without ABS to be honest.
You been getting much use out of the M in this weather GP? Not seen you on any runs for a while!

Oh I've been using it alright! In fact I've never owned a car that has spent so much of its time on the lockstops!

However, the track is calling me, as well as the sprint callender. Therefore I want a suitable beast in which to tackle both and then a nice daily whip which also doubles as an autobahn terrorost when the need arises.

So for the price of the Zed, I could have a track fettled S1 and a nice E39 M5 smile

You could argue that an elise or exige could just manage all of those, but then that plan wouldn't involve an M car! hehe I'm not sure it'd really be right for you to not have a fast german motor!!

The snow is back on! Not been bothering any car parks tonight though, think it's probably getting a bit too thick now.

Wise move i would say but does look good fun and good to give you a idea of how your car handles in skids and slides
