When I was a kid, these were being driven around by the chavs of the day and I hated them.

How times have changed eh?! That looks fantastic! thumbup

Wow - that is absolutely mint, looks showroom fresh!

I'd love one of these for my daily driver, but you don't see then in that sort of nick very often? Resto job or well looked after?

Thanks for the positive comments.
She has had a wee bits of paint and is currently in my garage with a few bits stripped
off as she is going to get a few small imperfections sorted out.
The car is in really good condition has had only one tiny piece of welding done near the rear suspension.
She has just passed the dreaded mot with flying colours and no advisorys!!!.The interior is in excellent condition has even still got the origional cassette player and ford rubber mats.
I must admit she wasnt in such a good shape when i bought her but i am a bit of a car polishing fanatic so got out the trusty porter cable and the menzerna and got to work. She loves a good few coats of collinite 476s.I also run a focus st2 in colorado red and have just ordered a new accord es gt for september.
Would post pics up but am currently sitting on a rig in the middle of the north sea and dont have anymore pics on my laptop.

That's gorgeous. Had a 1.4 ghia as my 1st car, and have wanted an XR2 ever since.

How much do you reckon one in condition like yours would be worth these days?

Just like my first car back in 1997. Your one looks better than mine did back then.

Absolutely awesome example!!!

Oh jeez! That looks so awesome!

My mom had a white one of these when i was a lad. It sounded awesome for a 1.6.
Unfortunately, she smacked a kerb sideways and ripped the entire rear suspension clean off. My dad left it outside overnight with no rear suspension and blocked it in with his van and cars, yet it still got nicked! Even to this day, we dont know how. My guess would be a picker.

I saw your car on another thread but the extra pics are great. smile

I have one of these, a '84 B plate in black. They really are good fun and are starting to go up in value now.

Can I ask what you paid for yours please or is that too nosey? wink
I'm always getting asked if I want to sell mine but I won't part with it for anything.

Hope you're keeping it standard. smile
