Don't take this the wrong way as I'd have the rocco everyday over the vxr, but surely you should have a quicker car than the Mrs?
(Is that a bit sexist?)

Dead on, I think it's the way they sit on the road that does it - sort of a haunched, broad-shouldery kind of look to them.

just to be different... i think i'd take the VXR...after a looong continential trip in one in europe. They just have that madness that VW dont...

Agree...the Roc is nice to look at. But a little slow.

Its pretty boring when you get past the front to be fair, but then the astra is radically different from the D sport version.

i've always like the asbo looks of the vxr from the outside, but the interior is truly quite horrid! Well the bits you have to spend your life looking at!!

Seats ok, dash etc truly poor!!
Shame, or I would be tempted!!

true that the VXR dash is horrid. I was sorely disappointed when I sat in one at an MPH show years ago... to be greeted with a wall of blank grey plastic vomit

The VXR may be quicker but I'd rather drive in the comfort and luxury of the 'rocco any day.

I have to agree..the roc is boring. and i would not call the the roc luxurious either.

Had a go in my mates recently purchased Rocco on the weekend was very impressed not as slow as everyone seems to say they are (2.0tfsi) same colour as yours as well not a bad company car ehthumbupfrom me anyway

i like the scirroco from the front and hate the dash on the vxr but have to say and it doesnt happen often i would take the astra.
