18 Year old daughter just won her first car show.
Discussion
There is now a new way to get my TVR grin. My 18 year old daughter entered her supercharged 73 2500M into our local All British Car Show and she won 1st place and I GOT my grin.
Classes were broken down for the more popular models and she was going up against the less popular other models like Morgans,MG Midget (Sprite) etc. Her class only had about 7 other cars entered but she won.
So today she got her first properly printed enterance ID card, her first picture of her driving into the show and her first plaque. Look out guys as she is coming after us and our P & Js.
Girls like Gaffer (Claire) and my daughter Chelsea will now keep us more humble, and provide stiffer competition at our car shows. She is sporting a grin as big as the fox who found his way into the chicken coop with this win.
Now I hate to do it, but I must try to put her back into her place by putting my 1978 V8 Taimar 5000M up against her 2500M. She has to learn that winning a car show is not easy and that not everyone can win. The fun is preparing the car and dealing with the people who want to know more about our cars.
I just hope that TreVoR and Peter were up there watching over her get her first win as she has mentioned their names many times in the last 2 years at the car shows that we have entered. She has educated people about TVRs humble beginnings and the ups and downs of TVR's history. That apple didn't fall far from the tree and I'm so proud of her and now I will have to work on her to become a PHer and let you guys keep her humble and keep her feet firmly planted on the ground.
It is just the (Porsha Lovin) younger daughter that I have to deal with now.
Hope that makes it easier to read.

Congrats, if that's what turns you on - but classics are for driving not for winning shows
Car gets driven lots between the 2 of us and just does the shows to educate people about TVRs. It was special for me as she did so many things yesterday for the first time and succeeded where very few people can say that they succeeded with any of their firsts.V8TVR1978 said:
