hello all

well been about for a while normal reading up on other people projects and there is some awesome projects out there.

well here is mine

started off as a 2.8 30v the first owner then put a PES supercharged kit on it along with the Supersprint exhaust system.

I bought it decided to sort out the gearbox as having 5 speed was getting on my nerves so 6 speed RS4 B5 box and rear diff spec made its way into my car.

Then i started to get bored bought a 20k 2.7T S4 lump for very good money

then started to fit it

and in with the new

then over the year slowly start sorting out a few problems firstly was the B4 RS4 intercoolers did not fit with a passat bumper so

make sure no one can see it

then exhaust need to be bigger so standard rs6 system made its way onto the car

off course brakes have been upgraded as well with B5 rs4 up front and C5 rs6 rears machined to fit.

well thats basically it for now. Got to post up pics of the car on the new wheels as RH have come off and also planning to put the K04's in there some time soon.

Oh nearly forgot the important power graph

not bad for standard lump smile and as far as I am concern its only 1 of two in the world that runs like from factory i.e 4 wheel drive and you can use VAG com etc which is what I wanted not to use aftermarket ecu and only have it FWD.

Excellent project thumbup
I like the stealth look of the car - very appealing.

What's the power difference of the Supercharger 2.8 engine and the 2.7 Turbo?
I like the AMG-style alloy wheels, too. Are they Anteras?

Very nice - very understated but with a hint of menance.
Have you got all that power going through the fronts or was it a 2.8 4motion in its previous incarnation?

The old engine wasn't a VR6 it was a true audi V6. The VR6 12v (narrow v6) is more of a vw lump and the V6 30v is a audi lump they put in the passat as the syncro version which is nearly identical to a A6 2.8 30v Quattro.

With the PES supercharger kit, i did have power graphs showing 296bhp but torque wasn't that great. I was going to overcome that slightly by running smaller pulley but never got round to fitting it as the s4 lump came up.

now with the S4 lump it has bags of torque and makes the car fly. Especially as it has full leathers etc. Don't miss the old lump at all.

The wheels where RH AMG E55 replicas so 18" versions just have them sitting at home at present unsure what to do.

good effort. Has your 2.7 had a remap as they're supposed to put out 265bhp as standard?

Again thank you for the kind words smile

yep the car is quattro from factory and with the old MTM clutch in there i could get all four wheels to spin up of a launch. I took it out to get factory pedal feel but to be honest i miss it so its going back in once I put the K04's on.

Car def needs to get body work done its not mint and I haven't done the best job to look after it so some point in the future it will go into a body shop for freshing up and rear badge removed smile

yes the car has been to MRC.

I have to admit they have looked after me very well and the map just amazing pulls solid from 1500 to red line with no drop off power feel at all.

Thats cool.

I say go for a really stealth sleeper, re-badge the front, put some boring passat wheels on and get the rear pipes down-turned behind the valance smile

have to admit i am still playing about with the idea of down turn exhaust on the rear.

sadly ther eis no standard looking 19" passat wheels out there frown i need them to clear the brakes.

I appreciate the hard work thats gone into this, and im sure its very rapid - though I dont fully understand the motivation behind spending all the money to make a 350bhp Passat...

but then horses for course and all that...

the real reason is that I wanted a Audi S4 (then later upgrade to RS4) and when I started to look back 3/4 years ago I just was not happy with the rear leg room. I am a big chap so sit back a bit and in a A4 or RS4 my friends would struggle to get there legs in. With the passat there is plenty of room. I could have bought a A6 2.7T from factory but I am not a fan of the A6. Also the fact its is identical to a A6 except being 8cms shorter made doing the mod's very easy.

Also I like to be different as well have semothing no one has. My friend has a great B5 RS4 and the attention that get is just silly. Where I have something no one looks at only when I floor it and they don't expect it.

great work,

I've always wanted to make a bit of a street sleeper but have never figured out who I would get it insured??

Any tips?

also, do you have the supercharger still, I have a 3.0 a6 and would be interested to see if it fitted.

guys thanx for all your comments

I def would love it to look as tatty as possible but i do want to return it to OEM mint as possible.

also hello Alex how are you?

to be honest still have new steering rack to put in K04's (hoepfully 450bhp) and rs6 aftermarket suspension so it handles better smile
