Whats wrong with a Polo GTI? Nice little cars, have some poke and are a nice shape. Considering you're at uni, i see absolutely nothing wrong with this choice of car. Will be good to see the pics when you can get your camera too.

yes

Good little cars. Nothing to be ashamed of at all, especially given that you are at Uni too. Looking forward to seeing some pictures.

Im Thinking of getting a set of Golf 17" Monza's on there as opposed to the 16" already on it. Really want some of the edition 30's but they sem impossible to find and i think 18" may be a push anyway
I wouldn't bother as it'll tramline like a bh with anything bigger on a small car.

Thats a really nice little car you have there. Anyone who slates a car just because its small should be slapped.

Did they have weird looking babies?

I really like the Polo GTI, but they just command such a premium they become almost pointless. Shame really.

I'd have loved one of these little things when I was at uni (even though they weren't around then)! Don't be ashamed, they're a great little car - a proper pocket rocket with a 1.8T engine. What more do you need from an everyday car?

I'd love one now actually, come to think of it. Always had a soft spot for them since they were launched.

May I ask, did you get the car from Cheshire?

Get yourself over to uk-polos.net - some of these cars have been modified to put out some serious power...

It was the Mk3 that made me want a GTi in the first place, would still love one but just thought whilst i had the money i would push for the Mk 4. Why did you get rid of the GTi?

I did want leather and fou nd one for an extra 700 that had heated leather, but then i saw an example that only had about 25000 on the clock and because the seat bolsters are quite big, the leather had already ripped. Ive heard the Mk 3 is a really fun car to drive though!

Thats a really cool little car you have, I like those a lot. Not a bad effort affording one whilst your are at uni considering the ammount tuition fees and all that costs these days.

I'm going to be looking at the next model Polo GTI with great interest when it comes out, as rumor has it they will be powered by a 1.4 TSI 180bhp biggrintongue out

I would agree to keeping the existing tyres, as I have the optional 17" alloys on my Corsa and by fk does it tramline like a bh!!!
