The car was absolutely mint, having just had a complete strip down and re-build with virtually all new parts. The photo doesn't do it justice..friend of mine trying to be artistic. It was all red, incidentally...with gold Aleycat alloys. (sp ?).

I've regretted selling it ever since.
Caterham Cars bought it from me...unseen.

A few friends have had Elans/+2s (when they were a bit newer)...a little delicate, but so gorgeous and perfectly proportioned.

I'd have thought 4 grand would only buy a 'in need of full-rebuild' Elan these days.
