The closest thing I've driven to this is a 110bhp 1.8 mundano which felt pretty heartless at times but I imagine this is would be pleanty adequate for funnnnnn
Cant really compare the two. My old focus was 130bhp zetec and that is slow against this one. Not sure of the difference between the zetec and duratec engines.Edited by gareth.e on Saturday 13th June 01:20
Very nice tidy looking car. Not too easy nowadays to get a low milage one, or one which hasnt been 'improved' with a book full of Halfords gift vouchers!
You mentioned a few mods, anything in mind for it?

The Duratec was the new era (if you like) of engines, after the Zetecs. Most noticable difference is the Duratec has variable valve timing (I think on the intake only though), and a timing chain (as opposed to a timing belt). Loads of other (internal) differences, like better designed head, pistons etc.You mentioned a few mods, anything in mind for it?

I have just sorted out some eibach springs. going to look into eibach antiroll bars, under drive pulleys to start.Would like about 200bhp. Need to keep it sensible as girlfriend will also be driving it and she is a learner!!
