This is my s2000, bought a couple of weeks ago to replace my lotus Elise, just finished giving it a good wash, polish, fitted the black rims, gave a service and sorted out a few issues. So thought I would share a couple of photos, while it’s clean.

Smart- very stealth. How do you find it compared to the Elise?

Nice S2k, but personally I think black wheels on a black car only work with a silver rim...

Thanks for the positive comments, it’s a slight disappointment handling wise compared the Elise, but makes a lot more sense for daily use

Don't go putting a silver lip on the wheels either, it looks far better as it is. You don't see ninjas wearing shiny bracelets!

The only plans so far are too lower it a little on springs (not coilovers as this would compromise the car too much for daily driving) and maybe add some chassis under bracing, still researching this. I have an oem front lip spoiler on order. And also plan to change the front brake pads to something that will resist fade on track. Don’t fancy a silver lip on the wheels, as would then have to clean the brake dust off all the time.

Hello.

Sorry for the large bump, but i have a question to ask the owner of the black S2000.
I have a freind who is from switzerland, and has bought an S2000 after a couple of us guys on a different forum suggested he buys one. Anyway, the switz plates are much smaller than the british plates, so they dont fit the housing very well. Here is his car.

Sorry for the dark pic, its all he has atm. As you can see on the front, the plate it much smaller than the housing. Is there anyway he can make this look abit neater, like cutting the housing down or something? Anything that would not have to get hole in the bumper or anything would be preferable. Thanks! biggrin

Nathan, On the first S2000's (which from the pic looks like what it is), the numberplate holder is just held into the front of the car by two screws. Just undo them and take the thing off, then re-attach the numberplate with some stickers, easy. It's the first thing I did on mine.

The front plate on the OP's s2000 - is it a 3/4 size as it looks slightly smaller than normal?

The wheels and stance look great, but I'm not sure about the front splitter/lip, it looks a bit cheap because of the finish. It's the only bit I don't like, otherwise it's one of the best looking cars I've seen in ages.

Yep i'd completly agree. Needs spraying the body colour. Looks amazing though.

Did you get the dent pulled in the N/S Front quarter panel? Can't see it in the new pictures.
