nice, but surely you struggle to be anything but a straightline hero with the wheels tucked that far up the arches?

Doesnt get driven fast anyway to be honest! Done 1400 miles in the last couple of years. Only take it out to meets and shows.

similar thought came to mind , spend that much money on a car, it deserves to be used!

Nope, it's now;

Pistonheads - where being deliberately insulting to other people for no reason matters

Surely you must have realised that this is what the vast majority of PH is now about??

As you are so ably proving.

It is his car, he is obviously very proud of it and if he likes taking it to shows and not driving it, it does not make him any less of an enthusiast. We are all into cars in different ways so just live and let live I say.

put some road suspension on it and give it a good caning at least weekly.
most people put 2.0 or 2.0 turbos in dont they, interesting to see a 1.6 turbo.

Had one of these previously for a week (borrowed from a mate), chavvy? yep, feckin quick? yep. As with the others that have commented, why on earth aren't you enjoying teasing more expensive motors in this?

Nice spec smile I have to agree with others though and say I don't understand the point of owning a car that doesn't get driven.

I'd also change the wheels if it were mine wink

Admire the effort. yes Certainly don't see many of those anymore.

If you're after the low low look and the car rebels at the 1st sight of a corner, maybe try it out on a 'strip'?

What is the power?

i have a soft spot for these and i have been trying to find a nice grey gsi for years, but as soon as one pops up its sold. these cars take me back to my teenager days when i loved them.

Very nice nova indeed no corners cut at least the spec list seems to point that way. it is raceable with suspension set that high. just drive in the good weather, If i built a car like that i wouldn't use it much, and only in summer months, very rare these cars now a days especially in standardish form, most have stupid bucket seats, clear lights and flushed boots etc.

get some more pictures up. some of the engine/interiro etc

It does get driven, just not hard. I much prefer to pull it out the garage randomly and take it for a spin up some nice roads, relaxed with some decent cds. Stop off somewhere for something to eat then drive back home.
Trust me it does handle well, even with suspension set how it is. Can be a bit back end happy, but nothing uncontrolable.

The engine is running just over 150 bhp at only 4 psi. Engine is safe to 11 psi, so a very capable c20xe killer!

Few more pictures.
