Just thought i'd chuck a few photos up from the last few months work on the car...

Some of you might remember i bought it about 9 months ago and ran it round for a few months as i got it. Then i did a trackday at Oulton Park and got massively high oil temps and very low oil pressure, developed a bit of death knock shortly afterwards so figured i'd give it a winter rebuild!

So - hopefully i'll be back up and running by the end of the month!

Now, the pictures!

Engine building:

Short ratio straight cut final drive gearbox:

Fully built up with Quaife ATB:

First mockup of the boot area:

First part of the Raychem DR25 spec loom:

Got the 362mm APs on under the new 18s

Not the best shot, but just a quick one after the engine went back in:

Parked up after a quick wash

The twin headlights (and the red air duct) is a temporary look while i work out whether to put the original xenons back in or go to twins...

Also looking at putting a standard bonnet back on with some subtle vents cut in.

That bonnet is so terrible, but somehow it works!

I love the bonnet, just looks really aggressive yet so much better than all the WRC ones that are usually stuck on Focii.

Looks like a really fun project too.

+1 looks right on that car, id probably keep the quad lights too, would be a lot of work trying to make the car look more subtle and anyway why make such an animal look plain.

What caused the engine failure in the first place?

Any ideas on what the final power output will be??

Engine problem was caused by the oil overheating and losing its viscosity...

Hoping to see around 350bhp on the charger and over 400bhp with the nitrous on.

A race fuel map with the nitrous on should hopefully crack the 450bhp mark smile

In my opinion, standard lights and bonnet. I think a more discreet look would suit it. Very nice anyway!

Love it mate. I thnk the bonnet is a bit.

Some say, it could be interpreted as chavvy. And that would be a shame because it's f'ing awesome and I love it. I always felt the mk 1 Focus RS got it right, much nicer than the mk 2 IMO.

Keep us updated. smile

The amount of money you are spending on this must be immense.

I love the look of it as well as the obvious engineering. Definitely think it'll look better with the standard xenons back in it though, and I love the EGR kit.

Good work!
