Collected my new Candy White Scirocco this afternoon - pics
Discussion
Hi there,
After about 12 weeks of waiting I collected my Candy White Scirocco 2.0 TDi GT Manual from the dealer tonight.
The car was parked outside of the showroom and look stunning, my business partner was blown away and thinks it is great.
Drove the 50 or so miles home with the cruise control set at about 75mph on the dual carriageway.
Still can't get used to it being sat on the drive, can't wait to drive it to work again tomorrow.
Heres a few pics
Glad I went for the de-badge, people can't tell its a diesel now
Regards
Tim

Until you put your foot down...I expect some sooty smoke will give it away then...

like the car but engine choice is a let down. no matter how much torque the tdi has it still lacks any character what so ever. I can understand an oil burner as a company car but why people opt for the option when they could get a 2.0 turbo is beyond me. Afterall the car costs a fortune outright so unless your doing lots of driving why did you go for the TDI?

Hi there,A couple of reasons.
1) My previous car was a Smart Roadster Coupe which over the last 70,000 miles I have done in it has averaged 54mpg. Should get a better mpg from the diesel Scirocco than the TSi.
2) I am a director of the company and as such need to be relatively responsible when it comes to expenditure etc, the diesel Scirocco works out about £35 per month cheaper on Contract Hire compared to the petrol plus the other two directors have 2.0 diesel Audis so it fits in with them.

Tim
really nice car mate, you got a few PH'ers really jealous
i love the way the front looks on this version of the Scirocco but looking at the second pic down the rear half of the car looks like its missing something, can't put my finger on it, just doesn't look right design wise mate, dunno if its the angle of shot tho
otherwise very nice car mate, and good luck with keeping up with the cleaning

I would have loved one of these but there was a need for something bigger... Still... got the alloys!
To be fair, pictures don't do it justice. there was one in the showroom when I was picking mine up yesterday and it looks 10x better in the metal. So broad from the rear... lovely car.
