New member- my car history so far

Well, after many years browsing and enjoying the site I have finally joined!
Heres my brief car history so far.
My first car was a Rover 214 in white with a factory looking bodykit and sensible modifications, unfortunately I don't have any pictures of this which is a bit of a pain. I had this for about a year but was only driving it for about 6 months as I had it for a long time before I was old enough to drive it! This is the only car I have ever made money on, sold this for the complete asking price.
Next up was a 2003 civic type-r in silver. This was an absolutely brilliant car in all aspects apart from on long journeys where it was a bit noisy! (4000rpm at 80mph). The only thing I did to this car was a quikshift air filter which really made the V-Tec sound amazing!

I had this for about a year and decided it was time for a change so I advertised it and managed to sell it a week later for nearly the full asking price. Another result!
Next up was a 2003 Ford Focus RS. This really was an amazing car and was very similar to the Civic in terms of performance. This already had a Scorpion exhaust system when I purchased but I added the full de-cat which made a huge difference. It ended up being much faster than the civic and was also much more comfortable. The noise was the best bit though as it really did sound amazing!

I had this for a year and decided to sell as I was doing about 2 miles a day and it seemed rediculous having this much money in a car. I was also not appreciating the car as it took the 2 miles to work for the engine to get warm.
I decided I wanted a car with good performance which was much cheaper and liked the idea of having 4 doors having always only had 2. I was looking for an older shape Subaru Impreza but this newer one came up for little more than I was looking to spend on an older shape so I snapped it up!
It had been abused by the previous owner as he had two large dogs which he transported on the rear seats. I had to strip the whole car out including seats, rear shelf, all trims to get all the dog hairs out. It really was a mess.

It has a prodrive ECU and exhaust which I am told takes it to 240bhp. I have also had a full decat so I am maybe now at 250bhp+. Its the best all round car I have had and also the one Ive kept longest at about 2 years. I still can't get my head round how good the car is for how much its worth (probably only around £4,000).
I have thought about changing but I don't really want to put any more money into a car at the moment as I still don't do any mileage and there is nothing else for the same sort of money which does the same things.
I also ran a BMW 540i alongside the Subaru for a while but sold this due to it not being me. The V8 was pretty epic though!
So the Subaru is staying for now as I am hoping to get my first house in the next year or so. Once I'm settled in a house and comfortable the saving will begin for an Audi RS4.
In the long run, the dream car is a 997 turbo but we all have our dreams!

tters eh??
I am 21 now but the insurance isn't an issue as I'm on a company policy which also allows me to drive my car in private time.
Unfortunately I am not going to be on that policy much longer so will have to insure the Subaru myself. I have put my details through various websites with my girlfriend as a named driver as she will be driving some of the time.
The best I can get is £1000 which isn't bad but any ideas on where I could get any better deals?
I put a M3 through and that was £2000
I have always loved cars and the cars ive had have just been a result of hard saving and lucky insurance.

Hi again everyone, just thought I'd update this as its been a while!

This had been remapped, exhaust, filter etc and was rolling roaded at 340bhp. It was a very fast car and especially fast from the line! It was however VERY uncomfortable especially on longer journeys so I decided a change was in order.
Next up a 2004 BMW M3
This is my current car and I absolutely love it. It has the speed of the Subaru but is really comfortable as well. Its a dream on long journeys, really munches up the miles.
In the background of one of the pics you will notice a Ford Ranger pickup. This is for those winter mornings when I dont dare take the M3.
Thats where I am at the moment. Next year I would like an E90 M3 ideally. I really don't think you can beat the BMW's. The ultimate end goal is still a 997 Turbo.

Hi everyone, just thought I'd update this thread.
I had wanted a Porsche 997 Turbo but in the end it was out of my budget. So, I went for a C63 AMG instead in black with black leather.
I am really pleased with the car, lovely and sedate to drive under normal conditions but put your foot down and it becomes a different beast all together. The noise has to be heard to be believed, it is truly epic.
I have only been able to drive it for about 20 miles since I got it as its been snowing!

Plans are to get the rear windows tinted in a lighter shade (I think its film on there at the moment and its really dark). I am also going to look at a Eurocharged tuning box as this should get me near 500bhp.
Not a lot else apart from that though.
