I'll be honest and say when I read the description of what you'd done I was expecting something a bit chavved up but having seen the pictures I really like what you've done - very tasteful. Being a geek, but the RAL bit of your registration number would indicate originally registered in Nottingham - if so I *may* have sold it new.
