This was my first love, aged 17 and Licence only a week old.

At this point I had only put on a few mods being the Cooper rims, wavey grill and of course wired in the CB Radio to chat to the other club members on-route to the show. Although mainly to tell em to slow down!!! 38BHP at that point and not much poke.

Soon the 850cc got breathed on.

Maniflow straight through exhaust and Manifold.

K&N Airfilter

1 &3/4 inch carb of a 1000cc engine

Skimmed 1000cc Head

Uprated timing chain

And drums all round!!!!!!

Rare shoot of the car not actually being driven by me.

Bloody miss that car............

Thanks for looking

Nice..

Couldn't ever get into them myself, ..watched too many tears of owners trying to 'do them up' and failing. I was an Anglia man myself back in the early '70's!

Get a good rust free one if you must otherwise it will break your heart! Minis may be small, but they can come with BIG problems.

Thanks guys I know now that I wish I had kept her...

She was a gooden aswell (so I thought). The guy I brought it from restored it before I had it, I then ran her for 2 fun filled years before selling to a guy in our club, who then sold it a year later to another club member that restored it again to full condision..lets just say under the skin its wasnt quite as pretty!!!!

I dont think ive seen another in that colour since (Harvest Gold)

Dont worry Mini_Lund ive got a Van in my mothers garage thats not going anywhere due to the fact its been on axle stands for 4 years doesnt help... I shall never sell that its an investment.

I havnt seen the car since but I no that he likes to restore cars as they came out of the factory, so i dont think it will look much different.

Although I havnt spoken to him for almost a year..

I wonder if he wants to sell it....(quickly finds phone)
