This is my first car, but i dont plan to get rid of it anytime soon.
Its only done 70K and is in extremely good condition.
Possibly hoping to go down the show car route at some point.
Picked up an identical golf, mechaniclly buggered but had coilovers, lights grill, splitter, few nice interior bits.
swapped the parts over...

So standard apart from; debadged grill, GTI rear lights, and lowered...
140mm on FK Coilovers.!!!!

Hope you like it as much as I do.

temporarily had a larger front splitter on...
couldnt get on or off my own drive so standard splitter back on.

Planning on some wheels soonish, still unsure. opinions?
for the time being, may spray the originals.

Thanks!
Angus.

Its a 1.3, so nothing special but its my first car.
Couldn't insure anything more to be honest.

Good starting point. I know from experience mk2s are easy to work on to get some mechanical knowledge.

I had a Mk2 1.6 Driver for my first car. Fantastic old things - so good in fact that I've gone back to that generation of VW with my Scirocco.

Yours looks good, too. Maybe stick some of the 4-stud 15" Passat steelies that VW still offer for something like £35 a wheel and you're away!
