Good Afteroon fellow PH'ers I thought it was about time I posted some up pics of my 2007 Leon Cupra 2.0 TFSI.

I owned the car for just over a year and I'm enjoying every minute of driving it.

In the pics the car was freshly clay bar'd and polished using Meguiars products:-

Mods so far:-

19" BBS CK's with 235/35 Toyo T1R's
Milltek Non-Resonated Cat-Back Exhaust
Cupra '08 Black Grill
Aero Side Skirts & Rear Spoiler
Alu Interior Kit
Parrot CK3100 Bluetooth
Centre Armrest
Citroen C5 Stubby Ariel

Enjoy..............

Cheers

Thanks Jimbo, I do take pride in keeping my cars tip top. It took me a while for me to decide on the wheels and I eventually got my list down to three possibitilies. It had to be the BBS CK's for looks alone. Shame it took over two months to get the wheels from BBS through a UK sales agent.

Im pleased to see you've got your self some decent rubber on those wheels , so many people buy fancy wheels with st tires... i've got the same on the rear of my E36 BMW. Fantastic tire, they're really good in the wet.

I totally agree with you why do people buy expensive nice wheels and fit cheap tyres onto them, beats me. Yes, I must admit I am well pleased with the overall performance of the Toyo Proxes T1-R. Good Grip Dry/Wet, less road noise than the OEM Pirelli's & they seem to have a good wear rate.

Yes, it's a lot quicker and refined than my old Subaru Impreza Turbo 2000 I had back in 2001.

The stated 240 bhp is more like 250 - 260 bhp which most owners have seen on rolling road days. I will more than likely get the car remapped by Revo or Superchips "Bluefin" which should see around 300 bhpsmile

I always wanted a Golf GTI MKV although I couldn't afford one and the Leon Cupra is much more of a car whith the bigger K04 turbo and better looks.

Cheers, they do look quite cool on one of the pics above. I suppose it's a good idea as they don't move about at speed as the normal traditional horizontal one's would.

Cheers, I think I made the right choice after months of searching wheel options on the net.

That looks really good. The BBS are the best choice of wheel and the finish complements the dark detailing on a otherwise bright car.

In Golf+ they ran a test on the mk5 golf GTI Vs Leon Cupra Vs Audi S3 and the Cupra was noticably faster than the Golf and what shocked me most on a lap of their test track the Leon was over 2 seconds quicker than the Golf and only 0.5seconds slower than the S3. The testers reckoned the handling of the Leon is far more responsive an lively than the golf which has also received a fair amount of praise for its handling from other road tests so the leon must be good!!!!

I always rathered the mk1 Leon to the MK4 golf to and the new leon is a good loooking motor. I just hate all the VAG politics and Seat not being allowed to make a 3 door Leon becuase if they did it would kill off the GTI.

I can recall the review from Golf+ and have a print-out copy of it somewhere amongst my car magazine collection in the loft.

The suspension on the Cupra is quite firm and a lot of people on the Seat Cupra Net Forums have changed there's for an alternative manufacturer to lower the springs which has improved the ride.

I suppose 19" wheels and 35 profile tyres feels most of the imperfections of our poor quality roads.

I would consider an S3 Sportback as a contender for my next car although I feel it will be too similar to the Cupra, not that this will be a probably. The extra traction from the four wheel drive would come in handy.

Cheers

Great cars aren't they? Not quite as nice as yours but we've just bought an 08 plate FR 170 Tdi, off the mark not as quick as the petrol but mid range is fantastic (this coming from a T350 owner) with masses of torque.
I believe it shares the same suspension set up as yours and handles very well, if a little front heavy.

They are a decent looking car, and lots of bang for buck, the rims do look good. But why oh why did they do a low rent interior with the plastics....... the seats are really good but the plastics on the dash, door cards and center console could have been much better.
