list of my mods
cold air pressure feed
ported and flowed airbox
k and n panel filter
ported and flowed spi top ie where the fuel injector sits
cav 1.8 spi throttle body taper ported to 49mm but going to go bigger ie 51mm to 54mm
adjustable tps( throttle position sensor)
adjustable fpr( fuel pressure regulator)
1400 spi inlet manifold lined up with taper ported cav 1.8 spi throttle body
intake runners lined up with inlet manifold gasket
exhaust manifold headers ported to 38mm ie 29 standard
exhaust manifold down pipe end ported to 48mm ie standard 38mm
down pipe flange ported to line up with exhaust manifold ie 48mm
exhaust under the car is upto 54mm inside diameter
bigger inlet and out let pipes on cat
straight though type design centre box came from a golf/jetta gti baffle inside diameter is 55 mm
a rage back box
up rated spark plugs/ ht leads/ ht coil
set timing to match set up and yes i did advance the timing by 1mm = 40 thou
i did all this before i ported the cylinder
cylinder head now is as follows
inlet port above inlet valve head been ported
inlet port entrance lined up with inlet manifold gasket
gone no finer than 80 grit hone marks this aids swirl and tumble into
cylinder
exhaust port been ported to 38mm standard 29mm
flat and polished combustion chambers/ exhaust port
had 20 thou = 0.5mm skimmed off cylinder head
had 4 valve guides fitted
4 new valve seats
had ally welding done due to a porous head
inlet valves re faced
flat and polish exhaust valves
also have a full mpi set up to use as well but the cylinder head needs a skim and porting as well
before use even got a turbo as well for a later date
