Hello, ...newbie here, and totally smitten '87 vette owner, ..its not the fastest around, but its easy to live with, takes me anywhere (daily driver too!), and with its open pipes and red paint, it screams 'SPORTSCAR!!' cool

"...my cars painted bright poison apple red, with pipes loud enough to wake up the dead!!!"

Welcomewavey My brother recently lost his C4 Lt1 in an accident on the M25 a couple of months back. He still wants another.

Many thanks..

I spent a few days earlier replacing the driveaxle u-j's, shox, and front tyres, so it drives nice and smooth now.

Its got an itg filter, under a cutaway airbox lid, and straight through pipes from RMS in Prestwick. Even fitted one of those little ally aerofoil inserts between the maf and the throttle body, so its throttle response is much, much better, but only really at the top end. Next to go is a bigger throttle body, better fuel pump and maybe a chip for the ecu..

This year we'll mostly be touring down south... Goodwood, War and Peace, Brands Classic and stuff...

Cheers,

Steve

Cool car yes I had one 18 months ago, spent a few £££ on it too.
I sold it in the end as the left hand drive thing started to get irritating.
Other than that, no problems, certainly a head turner aren't they. biggrin

I fitted/imported a full stainless Borla exhaust from the States..more ££

A few pic's of mine.

Will be at war and peacewavey. Look out for the vehicles that are in my profile. They will be all parked together.

That vette rocks!!!! So shiny too!

That's my next project.. To learn how to get a decent shine on the vette. Keeping it clean is a problem out here in the wilds, but I need to get on it, and soon..

Bluethunder..

W&P is our no.1 event of the year. Wouldn't miss it for anything. Got loads of pix and phonecam vids. Before I bought the vette, we were scoping for a jeep, but the prices went through the roof since 'Saving Private Ryan' came out. I used to do a lot of airsoft skirmishing a while back and still have a love of military vehicles. I'll definately look you up when we're back down there. Hope we see a return to those hot dusty days! Remember 2007? I still got blisters from wading through the mud in the vehicle park!
