I bought this two weeks ago, because of too much time spent reading that dreaded M-power bargains thread. Sigh.

Needs a few bits doing - front suspension needs a few new bushes, and it needs a diff seal but generally I'm very happy with the car!

I think by the time I have sorted the bits out, it'll be around £8500. A bargain imho!

Yeah, buy with your eyes open if you're looking for one - make sure you get quotes for any work it needs before handing your money over, unless you're prepared to do the work yourself. Parts aren't cheap - but there are lots of parts shared with the other 5-series cars, so its not all nightmareish.

I agree bargain indeed. Never knew an E39 M5 was 'that' affordable. What's the mileage?
