Hi all..
I realise it's not to most peoples taste on here, but I like it, so thought I'd share it with you..
It's got a few modifications, but in my opinion there quite subtle and either improve the looks and/or performance over standard, so they cant be bad? No fiberglass bodykits or bright pink neons to be seen anyway..!
It's been rolling roaded at 172bhp, which isn't too bad for a little 1.4 I dont think.. Puts a smile on my face anyway
And a few of the previous motor (Had a 106 Rallye inbetween but no decent pics)..
Fiesta Zetec-S with a full 1.7 Puma Racing conversion, was around 165bhp, have to say I still miss it!
Cheers, Jack.

the punto is nice - I had one a few years ago and had a bit of a love hate relationship with it - enjoyed it's speed and the interesting noise it made - the turbo lag was always fun, but it scared me on roads that were less than smooth or a bit greasy. that limited it's fun for me - in fact I had a 2cv at he same time and on a wet day on a winding, mud covered suffolk road it was faster than the punto from a-b!

I quite like it actually
is the punto turbo'd or supercharged?
Thanks alot mate, it's a 1.4 turbo. They're about 130bhp standard, but mines had a few tweeks here and there is the punto turbo'd or supercharged?

Yup, I know exactly what you mean.. I live on a farm and it's 2-3 miles of little twisty country lanes before I get anywhere, and those first few miles in the wet are driven very carefully! It does get very skittish on bumpy lanes, although I dont think the Spax and Toyos help.. But I have to say, on a nice sunny day on a decent road it more than makes up for it! Stedman said:
Do you know where the person who bought your Fiesta lives? Random i know, but i swear i saw an YR02 REG one today near Gatwick. Nice past 'n' present
I'm not to sure exactly, but my sister said she's seen it a few times at her college, in Cheshire. So probably not the same one, was it making lots of popping and banging noises? If so, he might of been on a day trip!Edited by JTS on Wednesday 1st April 21:57
Cheers for all the comments guys.. And yep, certainly has suprised a few people

I just remembered that my punto gt used to make my leg go dead - bit of an issue with the seat or driving position and the radio was rubbish.
I actually swapped mine for a seicento sporting - which was actually more fun to drive

Hmm, think you might of had a bit of a duff un' mate, think I'll leave the seicento "sporting" for now and just keep the GT I actually swapped mine for a seicento sporting - which was actually more fun to drive

I love your Punto, always wanted one, still want one in fact. I can see myself in a yellow one with black wheels and some decent seats and like you, paying a bit of attention to the engine.
A mate of mine had one very simlar lookswise to you with a hygrid turbo and other mods (not sure what exactly) but it left my 182 standing in 2nd until I got to about 6000RPM where I'd start to catch him up.

Cheers again for all the comments guys, wasn't expecting such a positive response to a "Boyo" sorta car on here.
Drove a DC2 Type-R a few weeks ago and fell in love, was straight on the phone to the insurance when I got home, unfortunatly being 19 they told me to "go away". But definatly on the list for my next car though.

Cheers mate.. Yup, wouldn't of minded a yellow one myself but ended up with grey! A mate of mine has a clio 172 cup (coincidently same bhp as the punto) and I give him a good run for his money, untill there is any sort of bend that is. The punto looks great. I really had a soft spot for those, a few years ago. Have a DC2 at the moment, so have ticked the FWD box, but I guess that yours is even more entertaining, especially with 170 bhp and a 4 ft wheelbase!
Cheers dude.. Don't suppose you fancy a swap? ...Worth a try! Drove a DC2 Type-R a few weeks ago and fell in love, was straight on the phone to the insurance when I got home, unfortunatly being 19 they told me to "go away". But definatly on the list for my next car though.
