Hi Guys,

Haven't been on here in quite a while, but as I've got the MG back on the road I thought I'd give it a look on here.

I'm in need a bit of advice..............The MG is looking & running fine except for a slight smoking around the heat shield over the manifold. Any ideas?

Here's a link to some photo's

Thanks,

What does the smoke smell of? The good news is that the exhaust shouldn't get hot enough to burn petrol so even if the carbs are leaking fuel that won't be your problem. Could be either a exhaust escaping from a leak any where between the manifold gaskets, manifold and the down pipe. Or it could be oil leaking from the engine on to the manifold.

Thanks for that, I think there may be a slight leak from the Rocker Cover gasket, I'll check it out over the week end.
