Sorry I mean mpg not mph wink

150mpg last 200 miles (Display limit) and 129.5mpg last 1100 miles, 95.6mpg last 107,000 miles.

45-55mph snail like pace, but enjoyable and satisfying dawdling round Yorkshire.

Lot's of nice cars overtook me which is fine, nice to see them out on a decent day.

Frugle to drive..................would be interested to find out how much it will cost to dispose of the car when its batteries die!!! Not very green then I suspect.

Batteries = recycled at end of life, same as most others nowadays. You can't just landfill them.

Sewing machine? I think Honda actually make them don't they?

It's not a Chim/Pork/Merc/BMW etc but it's not that slow 112mph. Fast enough for me.

Not usually too bothered about economy myself, but impressive mpg achievment nonetheless. I've always liked the mk1 insight - really quirky and well designed. The new one that is coming out looks pretty good too (much better thn a pious at any rate).

I bet it doesn't do 150mpg at 112mph though.

That's what confuses me about people who drive Priuses on the motorway. I've seen a few driving to work each day, and I'm sure there are way more economical cars for motorway cruising. A friends Dad has one, and it's ok at town speeds, but at rush hour cruise speeds it would be diabolical.

It's a petrol and electric plug in hybrid (PHEV).

Over the last 236 miles it has been doing 150mpg and has also consumed 19kwh of mains electricity.

It's used 1.57 gallons of VPower at 96p per L so petrol cost is £8.85

Cost of electricity £2.85 at 15p unit x 19kwh. I don't have a cheap rate meter.

Total cost for 236 miles = £11.70 or 5p a mile.

Electricity is taxed but not at the same hideous rate as petrol.

So the more petrol I offset the better.

Battery depreciation is not included so call it 10p a mile to allow for that.

No they were sold here by Honda UK, only about 250 in total in country. Quite a few of those 250 are imports.

hahaha, I see a lot of these around Leatherhead.

My friend calls them the Honda dogsh!t, but I think they're ace. I never knew they were hybrid though, thought they were just petrol.
