Always fancied one of these, happened to land upon this one cheaply as it has no tax or MOT and is on a Q reg, I suspect it has been reshelled at some point. All the 318is bits are there though and it drives lovely, much nicer than my previous 320i E30. I plan to get it roadworthy, run around in it for a bit before deciding whether I'll keep it.

Looks really nice. Parking leaves a little to be desired though!

Is there any way of getting it off a Q plate?

Quick question re:towing. Do you have an old licence or taken an additional test? If not how do you manage without?

How much did this one set you back if you don't mind me asking?

Nice Sniff looks very tidy. It needs a set of 15"BBS alloys though IMHO

Looks great in black, painted rocker cover is a nice touch as well. They deffinately look much better with 15" BBS. My iS has the 15" ones which were put on by the previous owner, looks crackin'

I just rolled it down the drive a bit when washing it, I normally hate being parked wonky as it looks messy.

The V5 says the number's untransferable unfortunately but I'm looking into it. Seems ironic as my mate's Tiger 7 kit car has kept the original "M" reg from the donor car.

It was a bit of a bargain probably due to the Q plate and lack of history, can't believe the previous owner was considering scrapping it at one point. Mechanically it's great though so I don't care about one letter on the reg number.

Maybe, but the Goodyear Eagle's have plenty of tread on them so they'll do for now.

My 10th BMW (and my 8th 3 Series) no less. Still got the other 3 E36's too, my neighbours must think I'm nuts.

Funny that, they were probably 2 of the hardest cars to sell I've ever had. So many emails from timewasters only to never hear from them again. Both sold after nearly 2 months of being advertised, both times to the first people to view them.

Took it in for an MOT today:

It failed on a couple of brake pipes, exhaust back box deteriorated, headlight bulb and a small bit of welding on the rear footwell the size of a 50p coin. Unfortunately during the emissions test a leak from the water pump became apparent and on the way home the heater was only blowing lukewarm so I suspect it needs a new water pump too.

With it being a Q reg it's always going to be worth less so I'm not sure it's going to be worth fixing so I've put it up for sale as spares or repair. If I get no interest then I'll have to break it for spares to get some money back on it.
