I just bought this car last week from an MX5 dealer in Doncaster for £495. The car has a pretty high 175k miles on the clock but it runs beautifully and for the price I don't think I can really argue. What does everyone think?

It appears theres a sudden influx of black 318is with missing front splitters at cheap prices on ph. I picked mine up last weekend for £750 no pics yet but it looks pretty much like those, is in dire need of a good polish but is very solid and only 2 previous owners with a tonne of history and it feels barely run in (139000). I'm going to order a splitter fro cotswold BMW as E30zone members get a decent discount.

Almost makes me reconsider looking to buy a 190e, they seem like ALOT of car for 500 quid, and ive heard you can drop in the 3.5 inline 6 from an old 5 series with not too much work, could be a laugh biggrin

They're a smaller more nimble car, but probably less refined.

The M50B25 engine from E36 325i or E34 525i would make more sense than a M30 lump, nearly the same power and less weight up front.

Nice car and for the money you can't got wrong. Ive had a couple of these a 316 I bought from an auction for £275 which was faded red and rusted to death but did me for 3 years and 30,000, never missed a beat. Then I had a D Reg 320i in white for £300, again a beast of a car and a joy to drive. Seems prices are increasing slightly now though.

I think ParksofBathgate meant to say that. Two computers in the same house...
