First off i could not take the standard radio/speakers anymore so i have replaced them all smile

Head unit has being replaced with a alpine X100 running my 160gb ipod classic:

I replaced the fornt speakers and the rear speakers with Focal speakers ( cannot remember the model number though frown

Then i went about fitting my sub and amp, space is a problem in the mr2 so i found a rockford forsgate sub and box made for a drop top that happened to fit behind the passage seat like a glove and i cannot believe how much it kick! Very impressed with it smile Paired this with a fairly powerful pioneer amp and the seem to work very well together:

I also fitted a carbon heater dial surround and new ashtray - very common to split on the mr2's:

Then i sorted out my wheels and rubber:

The wheels are azev c in 17 x 8j, i have put new rubber on them to, they came with falken 452 when i first got the wheels so i replaced them with the same as i found them really good, put 215/40/17 on the front and 235/40/17 on the rear....

Next week i will be fully machine polishing the car so expect and nice thread with lots of pics soon to smile

Let me no what you think...

Thanks

Nick

Hi, the car looks really nice - my mate had a Turbo in red and boy did it shift!
My only advice would be to get it lowered slightly - that way the new wheels will fit nicely in the rims and IMHO will finish off the car

Cheers

I did think about lowering but the car is not the highest in the world as it stands now and the speedbumps would not agree with me lowering it when there is 5 sets from my house to the next junction frown

Nice audio setup. Only thing I would maybe say is that the rear speakers arent required. For good sound staging, only front comps and a sub are required. Basically there shouldnt be sound coming from behind you apart from the sub.

Other than that, very nice!
