Hello again... smile

Recently sold the 206 GT after getting bored and realising that it just isn't worth pumping thousands into a car to get it how you want it when there's something better out there.

Which lead me to purchasing this Pirates Black ATR. I used to work for Honda and always loved them but until recently they've been out of my price range. Admittedly I've come in at the bottom of the ATR scale but it's honest and although needs a little bit of TLC is in pretty good condition overall.

The most important thing to me was that it was sound mechanically. Fortunately this one is.

I spent almost all of the weekend stripping what little polish/wax was on the car off. Clay barring the whole car and panel by panel machine polishing it to try and remove as much of the swirling as possible. It worked but I've got to go over it again to get the stubborn ones out.

Here's a few pics.

TB added in a few mins smile

Lovely Car you've got your self there. I had on of these two years ago and loved every moment in it.

To this day i dont know why i sold it. I'm always looking on Pistonheads to see if it goes back up for sale. Although using the DVLA car datacheck its showing vehicle status as unlicensed since 09/11/07, so i'm wondering if the cars been taken off the road or some thing.......

Flip me! Didn't realise they were that cheap at the moment, the Skoda VRs idea is currently soaring out the window!

His name's Gordy... can't mind when he sold it though, he has had an S3 for a while now. I have some pictures of it from ages ago next to my old GT4 and a few other cars, had to go check the reg on it to make sure.

Cool, I think that's the guy that had it before the guy I bought it off. Does he live in Scotland?

I'd be keen to see the pics if they are digital... smile

Yeah, I live in Glasgow too.

There's some close ups in this lot too - http://ajl959.com/carwash/ ... he owned a car wash, so it was usually very clean.

Took these off my phone, they are back when he first got it:

And some more I had, don't have any really good quality ones or ones of it on it's own:

Would you ask him if he'd mind me getting in touch? If that's ok then an email addy or phone number?

Thanks again.

OlberJ, are you a member of 205 Drivers? I seem to remember you username for some reason.

Lovely looking car there mate, can't beat the 'bang for buck' value on that !! Under 3k is a steal for an ATR.
