Had this gti about three years now, and apart from ejecting all it's oil from the oil cooler it's been pretty reliable, covering about 40k miles.

I know there seems to be a constant trickle of 205 pics, but i thought "what the hell".

hope you enjoy the pics (also hope they work as i'm a Bit of a spanner when it comes to things like this)

Cheers

Nice car mate, looks very clean, is the colour topaz blue? I have one in miami blue, had to get another after my first car was a 1.6.

Mine just gets used as a nice day toy.

Yeah, it's topaz blue, a rare colour apparently.
That could just be because no-one else really likes it!

Mine gets used most days, lots of fun in the recent snow, although the girlfriends CTR has a better heater.....

wow that really is in tip top condition.

Interior looks great, as does the exterior for that matter!

how many miles on it? looks like a 60K or under car TBH, don't see many of them around nowadays! Got any plans or just leave it as it is? Can be seriously hard not to fiddle with these little beauties, as I'm discovering...

edit: while im at it, get yourself down to gtidrivers.com, a really goldmine of knowledge!

believe it or not, it has 150k on it! The engine is due a rebuild really, but apart from that, it's all good. Before i had it, it had a lot of money spent on it, i've had 3 mot's through and it's sailed through them all!

No way man! The 205's heaters are like individual furnaces. Are you sure yours are working correctly?

Nice Topaz Blue though, looks in v.good condition. If the engine goes, you not fancy an Mi16/S16/GTi-6?

the heater does need looking at, i've a problem with my flaps i think! As far as engines go i'm not sure. It would be nice to keep it pretty standard, but i can't deny it would be nice to give the car the power it deserves.

Probably needs a new heater matrix

We replaced the heater matrix only 18 months ago, I would have hoped it would last longer than that!!
It certainly wasn't a 5 minute job unfortunately, half the dash had to come out.

We're hoping it's just the controls not opening fully, don't know how likely that is though.

Cheers
