I am! Can't fault it at what it's meant for. Fuel-wise I average about 32mpg. It can be switched into and out of 4wd while moving via the knob on the dash. It's coped fine with the snow (the 4wd works really well and feels very sure footed), especially since I fitted all terrain tyres. Can be fun in the wet with no load in the back - nothing serious and easily controllable (it's more 'watch this' than 'oh, fk!'). Engine's a bit noisy first thing on a cold morning (fine when warmed up, although it is a diesel and due for a service soon). Servicing is every 18k and roughly £300 I think. Needed replacement pads at 18k, though I think it was the dealers puling a fast one as the ones they put on have now got to 54k no probs! The early problems with the rear axles and airbags should all have been sorted under warranty (not a prob if you're buying new).
Parking wise, you learn to head to the outer edges of the carpark where you can hang the rear end over a pavement/into a bush. They are big, but you get used to it quickly. Never towed with mine so can't tell you about that, although the dealer told us to fit a towbar rather than reversing sensors as it was cheaper and did the same job

I think the overall length might prove a slight problem
As they must be a good for or so longer than hilux.
Fuel seems OK though, how do you find long trips,
Mine gives me chronic thigh ache these days forcing me to stop actually every so often.
What do you for security in the back, I read an advert for something (described anyway) as a 'blind'

Long trips is absolutely fine. I did Le Mans and back last year (from Yorkshire) without stopping, and my dad took it to Athens and back too, 4000 miles in just over a week and he didn't have a bad word to say about it.
Security wise I've got a snug top on mine (it locks but could easily be opened I expect), I would imagine choices would be similar to the Hilux - High level hard tops, hard roll covers, soft covers, mountain tops etc.
