Some very nice machinery in here chaps but it all looks a little too big, a little too modern and a little too rustproof for me! So here's my effort as she stands at the moment:

And this is her back story that cost me all my weekends last winter!

Went from this:

Via this:

And ended up like this:

Now as you were gentlmen, nothing more to see here......

frown

I was planning too, then discovered how rotten the shell was (120bhp + newspaper wings = bad idea) so spent the money on the rebuild instead. Save some more dosh up, and then lost my job and move house. Saved some more dosh up and I'm now buying a house. I would be saving more money up but I'm going back to uni in September next so it's out the window again. It will happen one day, it's still the endgame. But only when I can afford it.

Is that a new loom or have you covered the whole lot with red insulating tape?

Great looking car - a credit to your hard work

Thats a very nice job indeed ,

The only problem you may have like I had with a 73 L reg car .......some over zealos plod told me to change the number plates from Black / silver to modern ...

I was only 3 months out !!!! and missed the tax cut off date to boot , you may get a pull on a 74 car

It's the old loom but it came out completely during the rebuild and I cleaned it up and recovered it to match the engnine.

Find orange insulating tape = not easy

Having just read your thread on the black Mustang, I'll take that as a very big compliment!

Cheers!

Actually what I really need to do is adapt your flip up number plate idea. The B&S ones on mine are literally for show only as the police love pulling us all as we leave the show grounds for them. Velcro's the best solution I've come up so far.
