Here's my RX7 for your viewing pleasure.

It's the N/A version, but great fun to drive.
It's had a few things done to it, mainly having a full engine rebuild 14k ago by rotechnics. At the same time they also removed the air control valve, and made some custom exhaust headers which freed up another 30bhp. It now runs a free flowing exhaust which lets the rotary sound as its meant to, lol. It's also had the turbo2 alloys fitted, of which i have 7(!) and a turbo2 splitter fitted to the front.
There's also a set of plasma dials in the dashboard, unfortunately at night you can't see what distance you've done, but then again, why would you need to if you're having fun, lol.

I've fitted a strut brace at the front, and also fitted the 'sleepy eye' kit, for a bit of individuality.

Looks very straight and good for age, is the back end faded a bit? red is a hard colour to keep from going pink or is it just photo?

Cheers bud. The rear end photo was taken before i had the joy of washing, t-cutting, polishing, lol.
As you can see by the photo with the lights at halfmast, it came up a treat.
There's a couple of small rust spots and a minor dent in the rear left quarter, but then again, it is 21 years old, lol

Nice to see one of these receiving some TLC, very rare to see these on the road now.

what's even rarer is the colour!!!
Mazda don't even stock / make the colour anymore, and trying to find someone in the york area to try is proving a tadge difficult. Halfords wanted £14 for a 100ml aerosol.....i don't think so

ah wow this brings back childhood memories! My dad sold his 1989 RS Turbo in 1993 for a 'G' Reg one of these.

White turbo model. Remember all the dials and the noise!

What a sweet car!!

whats the tax like do you get away with the smaller cc or is that just the newer gen's that had the 1300cc engine. Very tempted by one for an everyday car lol

unfortunately it's down as a 2.4 on the logbook, and it takes quitea bit of hasle and proving to get it as a 1.3. still, it comes under the older tax bracket, so £185 ish for the year

It's a bit of an urban legend bud.
Exactly the one about the engine needing rebuilding every 50k.
Basically, if properly maintained, the engines can go well over 100k on the original rotors.
The biggest problem people make is to use synthetic or even semi synthetic oil in the engines, but as the oil is also used in the combustion cycle to provide extra lubrication, mineral oil is best, something like a 10w30.
Aside from that, they use a bit more oil (see above) and also depending on your right foot, lol. You're looking at 1l for 1000 miles.
They are thirsty on the old gogo juice though, heheh
