No transgressing the lines of Miro. Follow the rule of Boyle and this should see you safely on the Northern line towards.....

Poor form to mention Boyle's rule this early in the game IMHO. I'm sure members will recall the 1974 E.S.Capablanca vs. H.P.Salk travesty the failure of which was ultimately traced back to the early deployment of Boyle's rule.

I'd respectfully suggest an early move to Barkingside via Trump's gambit would be a more prudent opening move.

Eh?
flat and polishing piston crown's helps reduce detonation and helps the standard parts take more bhp and also reflects heat

rubbish.

a piston will soot up after a few miles, so wont reflect heat.

how does polishing a piston help it 'take' more bhp?

a std piston will fail no matter how shiney the top, its normally the area around the ring lands that fails.

as det normally starts right at the edge of the piston, sanding the rest wont help at all.

sounds a bit 'maxpower' to me!!!!

Wasting your time spending your evenings polishing pistons.

Any pics of the Astra though?

ETA: I just skim read some of your posts on the Astra Forum, why are you covering the innards of you air filter housing in fiberglass?

when i put ram air pressure feed to my airbox it gave more speed in 4th gear ie instead of doing 70 mph in 4th it did 100 mph in 4th gear ........on cool nights engines give more power this is due to the denser air being inducted into the engine .....this will loose upto 20 bhp because there is less oxygen being inducted into the engine
Really!!!!?????
