My new project, which I'm deeply attached to already. Needs work but is still in use as a daily driver. It's a 1985 M535i
Photos are mainly from the previous owner (as the weather here has been too poor to get decent snaps) but you get the idea...
No intention of doing anything other than bring it back to OEM spec, with the exception of the metric alloys...

Early 850 alloys? They really suit it.
I'm not entirely sure where the alloys came from, but I agree, they do set it off rather nicely. For such a lumbering old beast she's quite light on her feet. I think I've surprised a few people (not least because the exhaust is now blowing so she makes quite a racket)Based on the standard 535i, so not got an M-engine. However it has the m-tech suspension and body kit, as well as standard sports seats with the M-symbol and an m-tech steering wheel. Oh, and an LSD. This one also has air con, electric sunroof, windows and mirrors as well as the standard OBC stuff.
Engine is actually a 3.4 straight 6. In theory from new it should have been putting out somewhere around 218bhp and 229 lb torque (for this, the non-cat version). Published 0-60 was 7.4. However 105,000 miles later I suspect a good few of those original horses have escaped....
