Owned for 14 months now.. and it just gets better, The handling is something else, I also like the power, looks, rarity value.. every performance car should have a mechanical LSD. Bit Marmite but i love it.

I took the decals .. thinking if I didn't like them they would come off.. but I kinda like them now.. and resale time might swing it

To be fair, they're standard (as opposed to halfords special). I like them, also like the colour and am a big fan of the R26 - one to own in the future I feel biggrin

Glad youre loving it mate, I had mine for just about a year, and traded it in for an R26.R. It only gets better! (well, apart from creature comforts)

Jimbo, where were you based when you worked for Ricardo? I work for them at the Shoreham Technical Centre. Ricardo's involvement with the 225 was the engine integration, updating it from the original 160ps spec to 225. Also had a hand in a few other areas, but the engine was the main job.

When i was looking for a new car i did look at the Meganes, really liked them and came very close to owning one, some days i think i should of got one over the clio, other days i think i made the right choice, i leave my megane ownership till the R26R's have falen in price a little.

If your working for Ricardo at Shoreham you may know the guy i bought my trophy off, Jason i think his name was?

I love R26s! I have a few mates with them and they're awesome cars. And a little remap opens up a lot more performance too. wink

You might find, come resale time that the decals help the car sell. Lots of people wanting R26s also want the decals. It was interesting comparing two of my mates' LY R26s side by side. One has decals and one doesn't. I like both but I'd take the full decal kit everytime. And they look good on any colour as well. biggrin

Thanks for all the positive comments .. they really are a great drivers car, I can't recommend them enough. And with prices tumbling , make a great secondhand buy now too.
