Having lurked and pitched in the odd post for a while, I thought I should open myself up to get slated by puting up some pictures of the corsa.

I know not to a lot of peoples taste (since it's a corsa eek) but I love it, great wee car to have as a first car. Pretty underpowered, but does ok, certainly good fun in the corners without getting up enough speed to kill myself.

Everyone will be happy to know, it's not going to get modded beyond recognition (the only thing done at the moment is the roof spoiler, since I think it's nice and subtle, but stops the car looking like a shoe) maybe paint the grille black soon since I'm really not a fan of chrome, let alone plastic immitation chrome.

Hope theres not too much flaming biggrin

imo it's a sad person who (unprovoked) criticises another persons choice of car..

Nice car smile as long as you're happy thats all that matters

What engine is it, is it a first car?

Smart looking car that. Spoiler works pretty well - is it a Vauxhall item? Stick some Eibach lowering springs on it! Not sure if painting the grille would look good or not but they do it on the VXR's and that looks OK so...

Cheers silent1, I did tell imageshack to do it 800x600, but guess it decides for you laugh It's just the 1.2 SXi. It is my first car, purchased by the rents for joint use (basically so I could ferry them up from the pub laugh)
Mark, the spoiler is by irmscher, but was an option when buying the car, so arrived like that. Would like to get it lowered a tiny bit, but insurance won't let me do any performance mods.

Cheers everyone.

No problem, the problem was you had image name.th.jpg which on imageshack means it produces a thumbnail for you.

As for modifying it, don't bother for a year or 2, your insurance will be outrageous for a while anyway and if you save your money you'll be able to buy a quicker car sooner than if you do a few things to make it slightly quicker.

That's how at 20 i had a VX220 and a MINI Cooper S.

Fezzzza.

Very nice.

Yeah dont bother with performance mods. Ive found that if you are going to bother trying to increase the power, its got to be a fairly power full, and tunable engine to begin with. Enjoy it for what it is, and get a more powerfull car when insurance allows.

Looks smart. I went to a Vauxhall/Suzuki dealership when I bought my Swift, wasnt over impressed with the Corsa myself but my friend who works there had one as a company car and he liked it (and he didnt just say that cos he a salesman for them)

Did have a little drool over the VXR Artic they had there though yum

I'm sure I've seen you before (I remember having a little drool over a mk2 gti laugh) but I'll be sure to look out for you.

Carmadgaz, if you like the arctic, have a gander at these http://www.ukcorsa-d.com/forum/showthread.php?t=70... now they're tastey lick

ETA: Nothing about porformance figures in the link, but the VXR-S puts out 220bhp and 250ft/lbs (0-60 in 5.8s) and the VXR-R puts out 230bhp and 260ft/lbs (0-60 in 5.4s).
