2002 Audi TT....
Discussion
Hi all,
I have been browsing the forums for a good few years but have just got round to posting.
As I am aware most will probably hate the car but thats not a problem I like it and it has served me well the past 2 years. I am now considering a change in the next 12 months to something a little more exotic (well for me anyway) Perhaps a nice M3 CSL or a 911 S. Hopefully it will encourage me not to modify and to just enjoy the car for what it is, insurance may be an issue however
Pictures as always:
Thanks for looking,
Jack

Nice, except for the wheels - not my cup of tea.
Re. new car, get a 911! We've got a BM and a Boxster at the moment - the BMW is a constant pain in th arse (1 year old cars shouldn't costantly be broken), whilst the Porsche is just awesome in every respect. A 911 would be even better 9if anyone would insure us, lol.

Nice!. A lot of people sg off the TT but to be honest that is one of the best i've seen in a while. It is very close to original design concept. Clean lines, low stance. None of those ugly spoilers Audi plastered on it to stop them getting sued. I remember seeing it at he 98(?) motorshow and thinking it looked uber-cool. Then a million hairdressers bought them (in silver) and they were everywhere! It may have put people off but that is surely a testament to the purity of the design?
Graham,
Thank you for the advice! I have been swaying toward the 911...
Dave,
Agreed, mine is Merlin purple (Hard to see in the pictures) With the Anis yellow (Creme) Interior. So a very different combination to the usual Black/Silver.
This pay people may prefer when I had the Volk Racing wheels on it:

nice one, looks good - couldn't work out why it looked a bit different, then i noticed it had no spoiler!
How come it hasn't got the rear spoiler? I thought it was a recall thing (unless it was just older models) that they had spoilers put on, as there were quite a few accidents involving the car losing control?
edit: just realised it's the same car in both sets of pics!
As has already been said, that colour looks awesome - don't think i've seen one like that either

That looks really nice. I think a lot of people just sg off the TT because they think it's 'cool' to do so.
I sg them off because every one I've driven has been a horrible let down dynamically, however I understand the driving experience can be pepped up immeasurably with a few subtle tweaks under the skin, ARB's etc. OP's car looks lovely though..... I'm not normally a fan of TT's, but see this one everyday (I live up the road from you) & really like it. I honestly don't think the photo's do it justice, its such a nice colour & smooth simple lines.
with regards to the wheels, they're a bit marmite - you'll either love them or hate them. I personally like them, but thought they looked alot better when you had them in the same colour as the body work. have you any pics of it at that stage?
