EDITED WITH MORE PICS

Hello,

FIRST POST!!!

I have been a lurker for a while. I figured now I own something interesting (see my car history) I should get posting.

Well this is my Golf GTi 16v 5door Oak Green. It needs a good service and a clean and that's about it. I have only owned it 24 hours so be gentle with the questions. My only plans for it currently are to get an original grill back on it and get rid of the beesting aerial.

!EDITED TO ADD THESE PICTURES!

Thanks for looking

Nice little motor there. You're right though it does need a clean. And a CD player for that matter.

Very nice. I'm actually looking to purchase one of these myself! How much did it set you back if you don't mind me asking?

Cheers. This is my first delve into the world of "fast" cars. I've wanted a mk2 for yonks.

even if later down the line you come to get a new car, dont get rid of the golf, garage it or make it a week end car, you WILL regret getting rid of it, i did and alot of other owners too

I used to have an 8v GTi and loved it, such fun to drive!

You've got the right idea with returning it back to OEM look.

Looks lovely.

Exhaust looks like it might be hanging a bit low? I don't know.

Nice car.

Surprised that it looks like it has mechanical fuel injection though? Are they all like this?

I will do. Whereabouts are you?.

In response to the exhaust question. I thought the same it is on my list of things to look at but it's not blowing so i'm not that bothered about it yet.

Thanks for all the comments i'll post some more pictures after I have given it a clean.

I used to have one of these also, in three door small bumper guise. Good fun until it raped a lamp post!

May I ask why you want to get rid of the beesting ariel?

If you see the car in the flesh the aerial sticks out like a sore thumb. Maybe it would look okay in black?
