Nice!! I love these at the moment. Seriously considering getting one in a year or so. That is how I'd like mine: minimal body mods, alloys in that style (although not black).

What sort of spec is it? Running costs?

Thanks John

The spec aint really anything to brag about. Full exhaust (de catted), Air filters, Garrett 2860 turbos running 1 bar, boost controller. I got some other bits to go on which should give me 520ish at the fly, but thats gonna have to wait. Its about 390 at the fly now.

Running costs can be pretty much, depending on what you use the car for. Maybe 20mpg driving sensible, 6-8 driving like your getting away from a Tsunami!

My standard clutch has just started to slip, which for the power im trying to achieve, will need uprating. A twin plate clutch brand new is anything upwards of 800 quid, plus 250 labour.

As a second car, you'll love it. Forget doing big miles every day. It'll get expensive (although I know people who do it).

You will not be dissapointed by the driving experience though.

What do you drive now mate?

Cheers for that. Sounds like decent enough spec to me thumbup I was thinking a nice round 400bhp at the fly would be about right wink

I drive a Clio 172 Cup at the moment so running costs are cheap for a performance car. I commute via train to work so don't do too many miles.

having just bought an Integrale I am really getting into 90s cars agian at the moment, would love an original RS500 cosworth too, I am 40 & feel totaly comfortable in the Integrale, just do it, I think these are old enough now that they are seen as a cool classic especialy if you keep the bean tin exhaust away from the rear.

I'd like an series 1 rs turbo one day, and i would love an intergrale! My uncles got an unbelievably mint lagos bleu. M plate, all cream leathered recaros. Its just an unbelievable car with an unbelievable spec. Im hoping the credit drunch has affected him and he needs to sell it!

172's are awesome cars for the money, but im biased, so treat yourself to a 32 mate. You'll love it.

Lovely looking car Dean. Just right, nice clean and straight looking. Only thing i'd change is the colour of the wheels, and, as im in my low fortys, maybe a smaller tail pipe, but thats just mesmile

Thanks for your opinions and comments

The tailpipe is quite a big one, but it came with the car, and until i can afford a better brand one, it'll have to stay.

As for the wheels, they were anodised bronze before the previous owner took it to the local hand car wash! They soaked em in that pre wash gear, kind of a TFR, and it stripped the finish off, so they used to be painted, but that flaked away. Something to do with the material the wheels are made from, so now they're powdercoated.

The clutch has atarted slipping, so that'll need doing before i get her running more power. A couple choice bits i've hoarded away and a re-map from the god of mapping should see 520-540 flywheel horse power, then i'll finally be able to get away from that bloody Challenge Stradale from round here!!! Haha!

Cheers anyway fellas

Had a go in one of these with near enough 480bhp and it went quite nicely to say the least!
