HELP: Porsche or Lotus??
Discussion
Hy all:
I've been registered for a while, but didn't write until now!!!!
First of all, congratulations to all for such an amazing Forum!!!!!!!
I currently own a BMW 135i as a "daily driver", with which I am absolutely in love. I have previousely owned, amongst others, two BMW M3 e36's and one M3 e46 SMGII. Nevertheless, except from my first M3 e36 286bhp, I have never been in love with any car as I am with my 135i.
I thinking on buying something more exciting as a "weekend gettaway" and "track day" car. I would like something that is fun and exciting on the track, but that I could also use if I want to go to the mountains for a ride...
My candidates are:
- Porsche 968 CS
- Porsche 964 C2
- Lotus Elise (even maybe an Exige, but might be too radical...)
- Lotus Seven replica (Catherham, Westfield, Mohr, etc.)
- BMW Z3 M
What do you think? What would your recommendations be?
Thnak you all in advance for your help.
Cheers.

Ooo nice cars, but personally I'ld steer clear of the BMW's and Porsche's as your looking for something abit more different.
As others have said TVR is a good choice, also Ginetta something like a G33 perhaps?

Thank you all for your help!!!
The only problem with TVR is that I live in Spain (sorry, I forgot that "minor" detail...) and there are no TVR cars available nor TVR specialists in the country...
That is why my options are most likley limited to Porsche, Lotus or BMW. Nevertheless, I'm open to any other "feasible" options.
Again, many thanks!!!

In southern spain, surely it is too hot for a convertible? A/C is a must, I would have thought. And if an Exige is too extreme then a Lotus 7 must be too?
But... 968 is a little slow really. but apparently a great car to drive. 964 a bit quirky, but I have a soft spot for them and would love to own one.
In terms of tracking the car, the lighter weight would make a huge different in consumables. So, back to the Lotus, then.
(how unhelpful, sorry!)
