Allthough not the most exciting car ever posted on 'Readers Cars', it is very clean and original. This is my 1987 Honda Civic, a genuine one previous owner car, which has covered 75k (with FSH)and been very well cared for.

I also own a '2000' Civic VTI MB6, again this is a 1 owner car, with low miles and full service history. No pictures at the moment - waiting for a nice sunny day (could be some time!).

Can't believe how clean that is!

I'd have thought it's rare in that condition, would Honda UK be interested in it?

Three valves per cylinder?

Very tidy car, you don't see many around anymore, nevermind in that sort of condition.

Thank you for the comments, I've had the car just under 12 months and have only seen one other on the road, however, not in the same condition as mine.

I guess the car is pretty rare due to it's condition - shame it's not the GT version or it could be worth a pound or two.

The model for me is what makes it seem even more rare. Usually it's the performance orientated models of regular cars that stand any chance of surviving. It's a treat to see something like this as a standard car.

That's impressive, I love these "timewarp" type cars even when they are something fairly ordinary, especially when they have had some use.

Considering it has covered 75k, it's in outstanding condition.

This car was my daily driver up untill 4 weeks ago, it is now tucked away for the winter months.

that dash is hilarious, proper timewarp! Love the green LED clock!

Well done for keeping her original as Mr Honda intended - I'm sure if you continue to look after her then she'll be worth more than a few quid in a few years time!

Thanks for the positive comments. My intentions are to keep the old girl, but the lure of building a track day toy (205 gti?) may force my hand!

Two cars is plenty, three would just be greedy, and too costly.

Phenomenally tidy Honda.... If your doing a track day bus why not go for a slightly later Civic VT?

Good shout, but finding one could prove difficult. The plan is to start the search february time, the 205 is just an idea at the moment so who knows what I'll end up buying.

I never planned to own a 3g Civic, saw the car in the trader, made the call and brought her home - the car was too clean and cheap, it would of been rude not to!

I love it! biggrin

It's great looking back at cars like this, to see how much they've moved on!

That would be a great conversion, if I had more skill, time and money I would certainly consider it.

In the right hands the car could be turned into a seriously fast toy, it only weighs around 840kg's.

Yeah, its says so on the hamster wheel that actually powers it!
