I am sorry to report that it has been a while since I took any pictures of the car itself, it has been off the road for a long time now (over a year) for the work to get done. The work in question was a full engine rebuild due to a few running problems I had. Preventive maintenance was top of my agenda, but after speaking with my friends over in Germany, there were many performance parts bought in to compliment the already powerful engine.

Anyway, here are a few pictures of the engine that has been taking shape. These are about a month or two old, but you will get the oppertunity to see the benefits of an engine rebuild and the detail it allows you to go into. If you are not a Vauxhall person then you may not see a lot of the replaced componants that are in here.

Anyway, further images will be posted here when I get round to taking them (which will involve the car having a very streneus clean) Until then, I hope you like the way the engine has come along and I will speak to you all back on the boards. smile

Looks nice!

I notice you are using the standard air box - does it not get a bit restrictive once you start making big power?

It is a funny thing, I actually re-instated the Airbox with a performance filter in it. The reason behind that was directly related to other filters causing air issues in that they were sucking in warm engine heat regardless of it being cold fed filter or not. The general consenses was to use the original airbox which is quite large on it's underside (you can't really see that in the picture) which devlivers a stern about of air intake.

I do not know what to expect, I will take the figures I am given and then work to improve them. I would like to see 350+ but I think that I will have to wait and see.

Yes that is a nice site. Lots of good information on there.
However what I meant was I dont know what figures to expect since my last run. She was about 268bhp then moved closer to 297bhp and now I want over 300bhp with a view to take it further than that.
