Hello,

Traded in the Ka for this vRS. Standard w/ Xenons, Cruise and Sunroof.

Really pleased with it in a straight line.... but it's not exactly the best handling car, however. Needs more steering weight to inspire more confidence.

Great all-rounder, though! 55-60mpg on the motorway is common, and that's not exactly hanging about wink

Smart smile.

Get an uprated rear ARB fitted to improve the handling.

I got it back in July and paid £7k for it. At the time it was a really good price.

'05 plate, 25k miles and all the options mentioned above.

In the best colour aswell!!

Jabba ARB + some lowering springs should sort the handling out!

Very nice. I've always had a soft spot for these as my parents have a Bora with the same engine, but I've always thought it was a shame they never made a 3 door version. Uprate the suspension and it'll be a treat!

Great little car. Still regret getting rid of mine. I did before they brought out the rear ARB, so can't comment on them. I had mine lowered on Eibachs and had front upper and lower strut braces which really did help the handling. Turn in was crisp and steered wjere I wanted it almost all the time.

Have fun with your new purchase. You'll certainly not regret it.

Nice!

I've got one and absolutely love it. Perfect for my long 100 mile per day commute and surprises a lot of people and even myself with its strong motorway performance.

Not as fun as my previous Ford KA but an excellent car.

I would remap to around 165bhp and uprate the suspension should have a proper hot hatch on your hands then and should be able to keep up with a mk5 golf gti.

275 - 280bhp is more realistic for the 130PD engine.

The VAG 130PD's always pull approx 145bhp in stock form. We map these for a 30 - 35bhp increase, running 295lbs/ft torque.

The stock clutch is rated at 300lbs/ft so its not worth going much above this. With uprated clutch and custom map, 340lbs/ft torque is possible :-)

Pretty sure he meant 175-180 based on his comment on the HP increase smile

The 175-180 is about right. Mine was custom mapped to 185 with 320 lb ft of torque. All that with no clutch problems at all and had it on track a fair few times too.

My old Fab. Still the only car I regret selling.
