Out of interest, how long did it take for that Copper Beech hedge to mature and start looking half decent? I planted mine 3 years ago and it looks cack.

30cm a year is the average growth for copper beech hedges. Not my drive sadly - leads to a nice hotel, but probably 50+ years old at least.

pistonheads - gardening matters biggrin

Two rwd with no issues since that one Matty :P getting old and more sensable lol.

Yeah it's a 3Lr, leather, xenons, wind deflector, hifi upgrade, heated seats and a few other minor options.

Glad I paid a bit more and bought from the BMW dealer, been back three times already but hopefully get all the niggles sorted out. They've fixed a small dent I noticed when I was inspecting it initially, got the guy's card for future use as he did a top job and you¡¦d never know there was a ding. More worrying was a high speed vibration which is harder to diagnose, especially as it only happened at private road speeds.

They've tried new tyres, wheels rebalanced and a few other things which seem to have made it a lot worse thoguh that's good from a finding the cause objective as it can be felt at 60mph now and getting worse as you get faster, a major vibration from the front end and moving around like the tyres are going flat following cambers etc. probably due to the huge number of weights on them to get them balanced. Back in again next week to fit new wheels as they are guessing one or both are buckled at the front causing the problem. Hopefully all sorted soon as there is no point having a quick car you can only drive slowly. Let them get on with sorting it out at their expense but keeping an eye on the 1000 mile or 30 day hand back guarantee if they can't sort it.

Love the car just not handling like it should just now so fingers crossed new wheels and a full geometry check sort it.

I would suspect the wheels because they arent standard for that year of Z4; maybe the previous owner bought them used off ebay (renowned as a source of damaged but look fine to the naked eye wheels)...

Just looking at the pictures again, The older the Z4 gets the more the looks grow on me.

It's one of those designs that are a little radical and different when launched, but over time it still looks as fresh and as modern as it did when it was released years ago.
