hi peeps,
i have seen some of you have made an image of what you want to make your car look like when you are finished with your current restoration/modifying using a program called photoshop. Is this a program that you have to buy or can you download it from the internet ??
If you can download it from the internet then can you please tell me the name of the site ??
thanks

Photoshop is a package that you need to buy in order to obtain a license to use it. There "might be" illegal downloads available but dont! Industry standard is a good way of describing it. I use it in car design to show how sketches can be seen as more realistic images.
You can edit anything and create anything. Well worth buying as its not too expensive if you'll learn to use it to its full potential. I often create art with it and sometimes have a canvas printed off. Very easy to achive good results after a couple of months of practise.
If all you want to do with it is change the wheels on a picture of your car, it might not be the best way to spend a couple of hundred quid. There might be a trail version available from Adobe but I'm not sure. Google it and find out.

As you don't even know what Photoshop is, I would suggest Googling and downloading Gimp, which is free. It will allow you to play around and manipulate images without costing you.
A legal copy of the full version of Photoshop CS3, or the latest CS4, is quite expensive. A more affordable, slightly cut down version, called Photoshop Elements is also available.
