This is my current toy, Bought to replace a 72 Chevelle convertible as i wanted something more practical. It's a 350 V8 with a 3 speed auto box and unservo'ed drums all round. It came over from California in 2004 and i bought it blind off ebay in June this year.

It looks like a wonderful car, I love to see some nice classics tooling around.

By the way, what are the unservo'ed drums like to use? I've never driven a car with drum brakes all round, are they effective or do you really have to use a bit of force to haul the car down from speed?

The brakes aren't too bad, they'll lock the wheels with a good shove. (The brake pedal is big enough for both feet.yikes) they took a bit of getting used to though.

12-15 mpg on a run. It's a bit low geared at the mo. Less if i'm having fun.

It's not.paperbag It had a GM replacement motor fitted by the last owner in California in 2004.

So so cool! Maybe could do with some wider wheels to fill the arches a little more or maybe some spacers?

Thought it looked too modern, should be fairly quick though.

Lovely cars, not many gen 1 Firebirds about these days.

Awesome motor mate, I'm usually a Camaro man myself but you can't beat a tidy F body whatever the badge!

THAT is bodywork. The roof/rear 3/4 is a work of art.

Cool car. Would be nice if it still had the Pontiac engine in it. Looks like a small block Chevy? If I can figure out how to post a picture of my 67 Firebird I'll put it up. It runs a 455 Pontiac at 750 Bhp.
