Show us your daily drives
Discussion
Slightly different thread from the normal one on here. Met up with a fellow PH'er recently we compared 'daily drives' or sheds as you might call them. So here's mine
An N reg Nissan Almera 1.6 SLX Auto. Only 98k, and some service history. To me, it's the very definition of a car. "a motorised road vehicle designed to carry a small number of people" and that's it. Nothing else.
What you can't see from this picture is the light weight wheel on the front left, which is missing the wheel trim. I'm tempted to go light weight all round, but I'm worried it might ruin the handling, which is on the safe side of dull.
Saying all that though, I have to admit I do love the car. It's got huge sentimental value as it was my mothers until she passed away back in 2002. I 'borrowed' it from my dad about 3 years ago as a back up to what was going to be a serious track car, now it does the commute, runs to the dump and all the other boring jobs the Porker won't do. Sometimes it even does it without oil. I forgot to check after the firs 2 years of 'owning' it, and my Dad wasn't sure when he last checked. Anyway, it was empty, but no complaints at all from the car, just meekly put the oil light on when under extreme cornering forces.
However, it starts every morning, with out fail or much protest, and the only thing that's gone wrong is the heater only works on full last and the rear washer doesn't work. Other then that, nothing is wrong with it and in the time it's been in the family (I'd guess at ten years) the only thing that's gone wrong is the radiator failed.
So in honour of the trusty daily drives, show us what you've got

Right road, probably in the wrong car.
That's more like it! The great thing about cars like that is that they can be driven at 10/10ths everywhere!! my GF's parents live in the hills in central portugal. I always borrow his car when i'm over there but to do so i have to drop him off at work in the morning. I always end up giving it the italian tune up in the hills on the way back home trying to crack the previous days time
